Materials: oxidized mild steel (frame and woven wire), Sterling Silver ear wires and bead. Mild steel brings a myriad of benefits to the table. Unlike traditional Sterling silver, mild steel offers exceptional strength, allowing for intricate designs that withstand the test of time. Despite its robust nature, mild steel remains surprisingly lightweight, a great benefit especially for earrings!
NOTE: though I seal each piece for added protection, it's worth noting that steel, like any metal, could rust if it gets too cozy with moisture. To keep your pieces looking their best, avoid any source of moisture (remove them for swimming, bathing, or exercising). Store them in a dry spot. If your jewelry needs a little pick-me-up, a dab of light oil every now and then should do the trick. Use a clean, dry cloth or a Q-tip to apply the oil and wipe off any excess.
